Sunday the 15th of February was a spectacular day for the Sri Lankan Community in the United Kingdom. “Butterfly Symphony”, one of the best motion picture Sri Lankan movie industry produced has screened in Safari Cinema London with Miss Yashoda Wimaladharma , an award winning and prominent actress, as the guest of honour.
It’s an excellent film filled with sympathy, romance and emotions and is directed by one of the greatest and renowned film director in Sri Lanka, Mr. Jayantha Chandrasiri. The film was produced by Mr. Ruwan Jayasinghe and Mr. Palitha Gunawardena. Along with Yashoda Wimaladharma, film was compromised with talented and award winning cast include Udkkika Premarathna, Buddadasa Withanarachchi, Wilson Gunarathna, Chathurika Peiris, Roger Seneviratne and Roshan Pilapitiya. The event was organised by My Vision Network – Apekama Organisation in London
“The day was very successful and all guests went with positive memories of the movie that blends in musical brilliance with an emotional love story. It is a great moment again for all of us to embrace ‘Apekama’ where ever we are and to show our culture to the wider world in our own ways. It is this exceptional culture that we wish to preserve for the coming generations whilst at the same time-sharing it with the wider Sri Lankan community in London an enjoyable and spirited atmosphere.
Maheshi Kokila, Founder of Apekama Maheshi also wishes to pay her gratitude to those who helped and supported in many ways to make this event both successful and one of a lifetime experience.
It’s with much respect to the chief incumbent Most Ven. Wanduramba Kassapa from Athula Dassana Multi Cultural Buddhist community Center supported with many blessings and advise to make this event a fruitful occasion.
