Under the guidance of the Chief Sanghanayaka of Great Britain and the Head of the Vihara, Agga Maha Panditha Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thera, the Annual Poson Poya day programme organised by the Sri Saddatissa International Buddhist Centre in Kingsbury, North London, was held at the Vihara premisses on Sunday 7th June 2015. A large number of devotees attended the day long programme.
Ven.Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thera commenced the programme at 7 in the morning with the morning Buddha Puja followed by Heel Dana for the monks and Administering of Eight Precepts and Buddha Wandana.
Ven. Ketiyape Amithasaara Thera delivered the morning Dharma Sermon and Dr. Senevi Athurupana and Harshini Perera conducted separate meditation sessions.
After the mid day Buddha Puja and Dana Ven. Godamunne Piyananda Thera, Ven Galayaye Dhammadassi Thera and Medirigiriye Dhammananda Thera delivered Dhamma Sermons.
After the Gilampasa Puja a Bodhi Pooja and chanting of Seth Pirith was held with all the monks taking part invoking blessings to every one.
Days programme ended with a Poson Dansela.
Ven. Piyadassi Nayaka Thera in his Punyaanumodanaa thanked the Maha Sangha who took part, every one who helped in various ways to make the days event a success and every one involved in organising the Poson Dhansela and all who attended the programme.
Ven. Agga Maha Panditha Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thera, Ven. Dr. Handupelpola Mahinda Thera, Ven. Ketiyape Amithasara Thera, Ven. Godamunne Piyananda Thera, Ven. Galayaye Dhammadassi Thera and Ven. Medirigiriye Pemananda Thera attended the programme.
